Colorado's top six is significantly better than Tampa's. That should be the difference. Tampa wins if Vasi can steal them the series.

But the competition wasn't equal. Leafs/Panthers/Rangers >>> Nashville/Blues/Oilers. The Avs may well win, but I don't think they had anywhere near the difficulty of opposition.
Returning players may be a facor as well. Point, Kadri, Keumper.

Lightning will take this in 6. Better all around team and a huge advantage in goal.

Tampa has the horses to match up against any team, but Colorado is playing on another level in terms of speed and skill. The Kadri injury is a pretty big swing, especially if Tampa gets Point back.
Let it go to game 7, quadruple overtime, where Makar goes coast to coast scoring the GWG while flying through the air like some guy who played for the Bruins way back when.

Goaltending might be the biggest x-factor in this series when you look at the lineups on paper.
Colorado has yet to face an actual elite goaltender in this playoffs.
I think Colorado might have the higher end skaters with Makar and Mackinnon but over the last three playoffs now (65 GP!) Vasilevskiy is rocking a .930 save percentage and has 28.7 GSAA.
Only 22 goalies have played more than 600 minutes in the playoffs the last three years:
1) Vasilevskiy - .930 - 4130 TOI
19) Kuemper - .907 - 1045 TOI
22) Francouz - .899 - 630 TOI
Colorado generally has been able to outscore what is average goaltending, going to be tough to do that against this team.

As long as they don't honor Dave Andreychuk or Jay Feaster or Torts before any of the games, gooo Tampa!
Also I'd like to think that Jimmy Fallon chugging a hotdog and beer cost the Rangers the series!

It's the battle of natural disasters. The Avalanche have never lost in the Stanley Cup Final.

I think Colorado wins this, and honestly I think they do it in 6, maybe even 5. That team is just too good.

Tampa shut down two very good offences already. I don't think Colorado's is that much better than FLA's or TOR's.
I think the long layoff for Colorado will also hurt them and could be the difference maker if they start even a little bit slow.
TB in 6.

Tampa in 6 or 7 for me.
I'll repeat the goaltending difference that many others have stated.
Wouldn't exactly be shocking if the Avs win though.

I think Tampa takes it in 6. Unless Kadri comes back part way through the series. Aves in 7 then

Bednar said Kadri is flying with Avs to Tampa. Hopeful he’ll play in series, not sure if it’ll be in Game 3 or 4.

Bruin fan reminding everyone how winning the SC can lead to a bit of debauchery among the victors.

@Peter_Baugh:
Nicolas Aube-Kubel is on the ice with the presumed scratches. That would theoretically open a lineup spot for Nazem Kadri.
