Clifford gets a hearing today for his egregious boarding penalty.

Kyle Clifford will have a disciplinary hearing today with
@NHLPlayerSafety
following his boarding major on Ross Colton.

That's his second time on the department's radar recently: Clifford was fined $2,500 on April 22 for high-sticking Corey Perry.

It was egregious.

Should be 5 games.

It will be 2.

Literally the textbook definition of malicious, bone headed, dangerous hit. What an idiot, he should be grateful that 5min didn't change the outcome of the game.

Imagine suspension or not he's sitting the series anyways

The hit was dangerously similar to the Lemieux hit on Draper that ripped half his face off.

Hits on Perry don't count. He's irrelevant....and he had it coming.

I just need the Leafs and Oilers to lose in the first round so I can start enjoying the playoffs.

Leafs already down 2-0 in the 1st, and now Tampa has a 5 on 3 after Gio took a penalty...rough start haha

Went to the Leafs HFboard after they made it 2-0 and I know this board can be pretty whiny but they take it to another level. It was just totally pathetic lol.

Don't know if Leaf fans are special in that regard -- there are just more of them.

Happy for Gio. Happy for Brodie. Happy for Simmonds.

listened to the last 2 minutes of the game on the Leafs radio feed, homerific for sure- but strangely charming (as long as I only had to listen to 2 minutes). over the top doesn't begin to cover it

The most surprising thing about this series so far is how bad Vasilevkiy has been. Not going to win many series where your starting goaltender sports a .880 SV%.

I think he and the whole Tampa D just look worn out from so much hockey over the last 3 years, Vasi has been left out to dry so often this series

I'm surprised at Tampa's inconsistency, even period to period.

They just had to keep their foot on the gas last game..

Kucherov is looking a little too comfortable these days.

You could be right. It seems like they are cheating rather than playing the team game that took them to two straight titles. They did lose their entire 3rd line from last season so really they aren't as deep as they were in seasons past.
