I like BSD while he was here... seemed like a good guy. He was definitely inconsistent however.

If we weren't playing Nashville (most likely) I'd definitely be rooting for him....

Is this a new meaning for a "goalie losing track of his net"?

Can't see it in the video but he snared a puck off the glass before it could drop in the crease.

It looks like he hits his head pretty hard on the ice there.

And goalie masks aren't that protective at the back compared to player helmets. Thin piece of foam at best.

Who's Nashville's 4th stringer?

Yeah it was such a shame to have to beat the Bertuzzi-less Canucks in 2004. They just weren't at their best.

No. Wait a second. It was awesome.

Played most of a season in goal with 2 high ankle sprains. It hurt alot but was do-able. Sucks for Saros to be out, one of my fav goalies.

indeed. on the flip side, Flames missed winning the shiny thing by the narrowest of margins that year despite 105 missed playoffs games by McAmmond, Lombardi, Reinprecht, Lydman and Gauthier (*I get it that may not sound like a murderer's row, but based on that teams depth chart- those were key pieces.)

so you take the road put in front of you, and don't apologize for it (but also don't take anything for granted)

Yup, and by the same token, you're going to have to beat good teams to win it all. In 2004 we ran over the Red Wings who were supposed to waltz into the Finals once we got Vancouver out of the way and San Jose took care of Colorado.

Never worry about who you have to play. Just beat them. Especially if their starting goalie is out.

Losing Lombardi sucked so much. He had such promise before Hatcher derailed his career with that concussion.
