It isn't the easiest stretch. But beating the Kings head to head would help their cause. Should be a fun game to tune in for.

The way this season started, this team had no business being in a playoff race. That there is even a chance Boudreau isn't back next season is just Canucks things.

Oh dear. I am in a position where I am actually starting to believe and hope. This ends in heart break.
Yes, yes it does.

That's why this place is so jaded. We've been conditioned from our years of chasing 8th place down the stretch with late season hot streaks to no avail.

97% of the time you have to be in a berth at the ASB to end up in the dance.

ouch
I knew we snagged the better Stone.

It was just about the long game.

Even being in this race is gravy for me. This team was ten games below .500 at American thanksgiving. It had an all-time worst penalty kill. It's star young players not named Hughes or Demko looked like they were swimming in sand. Even getting in to get thumped by Colorado would be a major accomplishment for how this season was looking to go. I'd take a middling pick for signs of life that could carry over to next year.

Even if they miss the playoffs (which is almost certain, they play the Wild, Flames and Oilers while the Kings play a bunch of bottom feeders) the fact that their young star center didn't turn into a pumpkin after all is a pretty good silver lining.
In February he had said his wrist was still bothering him early in the season and he was just starting to feel comfortable.

Its a lot easier to win games when you are totally out of it and have no pressure, every time the Canucks have gotten close they have choked a few games. They were a few points back like 2 months ago.

Now they are "close" again, lets see what happens.

Them and the Oilers would be an interesting series that Demko could steal

Running the table seems "easy" looking at the schedule but are the Canucks really going to win 12 straight? have they ever?

I'd love to see Demko stone the Oilers.

And then get swiftly gut punched by the Flames.

They don't necessarily have to run the table. They can afford 1, maybe 2 losses.

It will be interesting down the stretch here with the Pacific being the last real race left in the league.

If the three Pacific teams battling for that thrid spot keep up their pace in the last 10.

LA- 77GP - 90 points - Last 10 - 4-5-1:
If they finish 2-3-0 they finish with 94 Points

Vegas - 77GP - 87 points - Last 10 - 6-3-1
If they finish 3-2-0 they finish with 93 points

Vancouver - 76GP - 86 points - Last 10 - 7-2-1
If they finish 4-2-0 they finish with 94 points

If the Canucks win and Kings lose tonight then it will be Vancouver at 88 points, Kings at 90 with Vancouver having the game in hand and a head to head game left.

Realistically it probably comes down to that Canucks-Kings game on April 28th.

2-3 would be a pretty poor finish for LA considering their schedule
