Johnny needs 2 points tonight to become a point per game career player

I am more hoping for a few more 4 or 5 point nights to catch up to the wonder twins in the Art Ross Trophy race. With 2 games in hand, there is chance that he can win it.

Pattern seems to be the rest of the team rallies and plays lights out for the first few games after a star gets injured. I suspect the Avs will come out flying in the 1st, hopefully the Flames do too

Hoping for Monahan to have a great game. He deserves to be rewarded with some puck puck at some point. On a side note… in that video, Monahan looks like he’s going gothic for this game.

Really dumb for MacKinnon to do that.

Kevin Bieksa just said on National TV that…

Flames have the best D corps in the NHL.

I agree with him.

Really close between the 2 Florida teams and Flames.

The difference between a star, some depth and maybe a weak link, and depth all the way through without a Hedman. Zadorov and Gudbranson have astounded people.

Matthew Tkachuk is biased. He’s also probably correct.

He thinks his Calgary Flames are slept on; they’ve got the fourth-best points percentage in the league. He thinks linemate Johnny Gaudreau should be the Hart frontrunner;

Is Monahan the worst interview in pro-sports? It's a 3 min clip and I couldn't be bothered to go past 1 min of it. Just a waste of time for literally everyone.

I'm tempering my excitement but hopeful the team can do it in playoff hockey.

Also props to Monahan and how he handled that media availability. As hard as I've been on that guy and hoped Sutter would diminish his role on the team, he made no injury excuses, his answers were focused mainly on the team and being a good teammate. Hopefully he can find his game.

Also Johnny should absolutely be a Hart candidate.
