Gio is still good for his age, but he is far from the player he was in his prime. If the Leafs give up a 1st rounder as part of the deal, that is an overpayment IMO.

Suspect the most expensive trait at this deadline is a cheap contract. The Leafs had to waive a goalie and trade a defenseman to fit Giordano under the cap.
