Richardson - 37 years old, and maybe the bottom guy that was hardest to pin down as far as role. I know what Lucic, Lewis and Ritchie bring, I know what Ruzicka, Monahan and Dube bring. I even knew what Pitlick brought. Richardson was just sorta there.

Poor Richardson. Taken out of a playoff race as a warm body.

So Toronto is looking for a goaltender. Again.

I thought he was a great 13th forward. A centre too that can win faceoffs. Obviously not a huge part of the group as far as on ice play goes, but he is a guy that could come into a playoff series in a pinch hitting role and give you some good minutes if another guy is banged up.

kinda dissapointed TBQH which is crazy, I know.

Trust the wizard and the farmer.

That's too bad. This only makes sense if another player being added today otherwise you exposed him for no good reason.

This isn't shocking really, Flames are a good team. Shouldn't be surprised that other teams would think Flames depth is an upgrade over what they have.

Richardson is and has always been a strong face off guy. He's a former Canuck and is familiar with some of the guys on the team.

Unless there's a trade coming that moves out a center, not sure where he fits?

Miller
Pettersson
Horvat
Lammiko
Dickinson

now Richardson

Richardson is one of those aging plugger types that inevitably end up in the coaching ranks in some capacity.

I don't think that we save anything. His whole cap hit would have been buried in the minors. The net result is we just have less call up depth now.

Any thoughts if the Sateri move was intentional on TOR's part (ie they knew he'd get picked up coming over) or they are actually short a goalie now?

Was wondering if he cleared. Too bad — seems like a solid guy to have waiting win the wings as playoff depth.

That kinda sucks. I really liked him as a 4th line C, moreso than monahan, given the type of play that is expected of the 4th line.

Hopefully the Flames replace the depth they lost here trying to free up space.

Meh. I don't really have anything to add beyond that he was just a warm body here, I hope for his sake that he gets to dress more there then he would have here.

If he was meant as a depth move for the Marlies playoff run, they probably could've gotten him on an AHL-only deal.

Losing Brad is less concerning since Jarnkrok is actually playing C, but I think I'd rather have him than Ritchie.

Surprised someone claimed him, but I guess that puts Ruzicka closer to being called up, so that's not a bad thing IMO.

weird one. Was 100% sure he'd clear, and it makes even less sense given it's the Canucks.

History with the team. TheHockeyGuy on YouTube was speculating that the Canucks might claim him.
