If the Flames can't beat the Stars or Preds they aren't winning the cup anyway. Bring em' on

Question as it relates for home ice advantage in the standings (and yes, this is getting ahead of myself here) :

Given the flames are well behind the avs for #1 in the conference, but also have a good buffer to win the division... Who would get home ice in round 3 supposing it was the Flames vs Wild? Does the division winner hold the trump card, or is it still based off points? (I assume the latter)

Starting with the conference finals, home ice advantage is determined by regular season record, regardless of seeding. So it's based on points at that time.

Thanks!

In that case, maybe we won't see as much player rest/Vladar starts down the stretch as some are expecting.

Just noticed that the graphic shows Oilers leading their season series against LA as (3-1-0). Shouldn't it be (2-1-1)?

They have 3 wins against LA. 3-1-0. LA is 1-2-1 against them.

It's easy to do, especially for us old fogeys who still remember ties. If we tied them, then they tied us. I sometimes have to remind myself that L's and OTL's for one team are all W's for the other.

And/or mistaking the ordering of the teams shown as winning team-losing team instead of being the visiting team-home team.

I feel nothing about the Flames facing the Preds in round one. No rivalry. No hate. No excitement. Just nothing.

Yeah, wildcard served its purpose, but I want 1-4 in each division for playoff format now. Keep the first two rounds in division, lots of hatred

This would probably be a great thing for the Flames though.

No bad blood, no rivalry, just focus on playing and getting business done.

The Flames still have two regular-season games in Nashville. I'm sure there will be enough bad blood to go around if they do meet in the playoffs.

Vlader should start the first one on the back to back, second one we will probably have the division locked up by then “knock on wood”
