The Oakland A’s attendance yesterday: 2,703. Lowest since 1980. There triple A team in Vegas drew more on the same night. That team is going to end up in Vegas; Nashville; or Portland.

Embarrassing. Though that city doesn't seem to care about it's sports teams. Warriors move to San Fran, Raiders leave to Vegas and now when do the A's move?

Yankees intentionally walking Miggy with 2,999 hits is beyond stupid. At least Meadows made them pay for it.
Why is this stupid? Just because he's at 2999? Would it matter if he was 2998 or less or more than 3000? Hate the Yankees, but Boone's job isn't to make sure Miggy has a chance at 3000.
It's not like this was only chance today...He went 0-3, he could've gotten his 3000 in one those at bats...

Agreed! If this was a late season meaningless game that didn’t impact standings or playoff positioning then sure, whatever. I hate the Yankees but the uproar about this is absurd.
If the Jays were to cater their game management around an opponents milestone I would be demanding a new manager
You don't see players losing their #### anymore. I do miss that from pre-2000's where players and coaches would go bananas in their ejections. Schwarber did it old school.
And yes, this year the umping has been universally bad. It like they want to fast track getting automated.

Hernandez is the worst of the lot.
That said, the first pitch of the above two is a lot worse then the Schwarber one, which is a pretty good pitch where the pitch tracker had it, and a slider coming across the plate, so many umps would call that...so that's a little over dramatic of a reaction.

I think his point is Hernandez is so inconsistent no one has any idea where his strike zone is. He’s all over the map.

Schwarber was also rung up on an iffy pitch in the 6th, can't find it though.
