As bad as the Flames were it took a ton of things to go wrong for them to lose in OT. Zadorov penalty was pretty unfortunate, waist high stick got caught up in the linesman and hit the face of a 5 foot player ducking

Also, at least some guys will rotate back in to the lineup. I think Monahan will be munching some popcorn by the end of this year, possibly next game. Gotta get Ritchie far away again too.

Won’t be surprised to see Kylington scratched either. He has been overall awesome all year but his leash is short for whatever reason. Immediately yanked from PP2 after the gaffe tonight, didn’t see OT.
I wasn't complaining about his posts. My comment was suppose to be made in good humour. Infact I rarely post messages in GDTs because whenever I do, the Flames lose.

Half this Flames loss was on me for posting in today's GDT. That's my bad.

I just see tonight as a well earned break for Gaskal before the workload ahead of him next week.

Seems like my fun post meter is off today! Just a bit like the team, a little off.

Refocus and get back to it for the next one!

Not based on tonight’s game. He was rough.

Are Kylington's skate blades shorter than normal? Is that a thing? Something has to be the reason for his lack of stability.

Got to have that next shift mentality. Yes he had a rough game but sending out Zadorov in OT is not a smart decision. Seems unfortunate that the leash isn’t very long for him. Lots of bad tonight, but feel like there could have been some better player usage at the end.

Some bad games - Lucic, Kylington, and despite producing some, the top line IMO.

Meh, whatever. Games like this happen sometimes. Colorado lost to the Yotes tonight and didn’t even get a point.

Zero problem with Zadorov in OT. He's shown he has offensive flair and skating ability skating forward and getting back into the play. Rewarded for his last stretch.
A veteran who plays 3 on 3 regularly should know a lot better then to simply capitulate and give away the puck when he may get touched.

Deserved to lose, interesting choices for lineups in OT. Really getting tired of Backlund in OT blowing up and having 2 on 1 coming back at us. Vividly remember this at least a couple times this year.

Move on I guess, but that was frustrating to watch.

A little concerned the Flames have choked in the 2 games they had a chance to set an all time franchise record. Nice to get a point there but that is not a great game against a terrible team.

Just DVR'ed the game. That was the worst game I've seen from Lucic in a while, him with Monahan and Toffoli is just not working

Take the point and move on.

Tough game, according to Sutter.

Coach not a fan of the bad habits creeping back in - even just for a night.

Can't turn the puck over and expect to win.

Habs would've been in their way to mentally beaten if it was 2-0 but they got gifted life, and then the Habs confidence grew through the game, which the Flames haven't done for a couple months.
A 2 goal lead in the first and it's game over? A 2 gaol late in the second and it isn't? We both know that doesn't really make any sense.

It's not like Flames dominated the first and were on their way to mentally beating them. Montreal was better team that entire period.

There was no single turning point in this game other than the GWG obviously. Flames were off, Montreal was pretty good and there you have it.
