The replay shows the whistle went like a half second before it's in Boyd's hands. Raider fans will feel screwed, but that wasn't even close to out of bounds (and thus no whistle should have happened), so on balance it's fair to me.

Yeah but a rule is a rule, like in hockey. You can't score after the whistle.
But it's Jerome Boger, he has no clue.

So we're not even through the first half of the first game and there's already been a touchdown that's not permitted by rule?
Gotta love refball...

Big score by the Raiders there. Not really cheering for anyone so just hoping for a close game. Although, I guess it would be kind of fun to see the Bengals blow another playoff game. As a Flames fan it's always nice to know there's other perennial playoff chokers out there. Misery loves company or something like that.

As for the actual game the Raiders obviously need to start bringing some blitzes, Bengals moving the ball at will pretty much with a non-existent Raiders pass rush.

The NHL takes gambling money and NHL refs ignore rules on basically every play.

As long as casinos take NBA betting, the only sport refs can actually award points, they'll be taking bets on football. Casinos win no matter what after all.

Playoff assignments are based off regular season ratings, so apparently Boger's crew was only slightly not as terrible as a few other crews. Although I think I read this is Boger's first playoff game in like five years, so yeah he sucks.
