I don't see any recent moves by Brad as because of Sutter. Do you think a cup winning coach demands his GM fill up his roster with ineffective & over the hill players with toughness? He wants good players, he said on garbage day the group wasn't as good as the org thought they were. He wants a team that can play with pace - said that many times in post game press conferences. I don't see Brad's moves addressing his concerns.

Coleman was likely the biggest fish out there that the Flames could get. The only other UFA that was clearly a bigger deal was Dougie Hamilton, and he's not coming back here.

I wanted to believe that when Sutter was brought in, it was just to coach. But this whole summer has "Darryl Sutter is calling the shots now" written all over it, and Treliving is just serving as a figurehead for the day to day stuff.

Like, I actually haven't been this perplexed by an offseason's direction since Darryl was GM, and my gut tells me that's no coincidence.
