Do you think there would be room for an Eichel statue?

That would be a great statute, but I don’t feel that Lanny had enough great years with Calgary. And he really wasn’t a major part of the Stanley Cup team, his key goal notwithstanding.
I’d go with no statute, although if pressed, Iggy is the guy.

As much as I LOVE Iggy, it has to be Lanny. The night Flames won the cup was one of the greatest of my life.
I worked as a busboy n a high end restaurant in high school. We dropped everything and shut down early (there were zero customers that night) and went downtown for the parade. My pal was standing out of my sunroof screaming with everyone else.
This city was so much better back then. I wish the young could have seen it. Electric avenue was so cool.
A mob closed down 17th and we all walked to the Dome.

That moment is entirely over-rated. It only matters if you win the damn series.

Ken King would make the most sense for me. Was loved by those in the organization and by the accounts I've heard, he was one to always have time for a Calgary Flame fan, even reaching out to fans during the lockout.

An ownership shill for a statue. Seems right by this org.

Why would you want a tribute to the Oilers defence at the Flames arena?

I’m not a big fan of statutes but I would vote for Lanny. What a perfect career exactly 500 goals and your last point is a key goal in a Stanley Cup winning game, not some sympathy assist against Pittsburgh.
