Not sure if even the Habs would consider him with this hanging over his head.

I honestly can’t think of one, though I’m sure someone has a DUI here or there.
Didn't Ryder go off the deep end and do something?

True.

At least with the draft pick they can spin it like it is in his past so now they will help him moving forward. Virtanen's legal issues only seem to be growing, and the noise would only get worse if more victims come out. Vancouver can throw their hands up and say "we didn't know, and now that we do, we got rid of him", any team that signs him cannot. A superstar would weather the storm, a talented player might have a shot, but Jake's numbers won't get him through.

Though I do worry about him trying to lean on his past connection to the flames org through his time as a hitmen, but like another person commented, I was never impressed with him when the game was on the line, hopefully management doesn't have nostalgia problems.

I cannot comment on any sexual assault allegations against Virtanen, this is something I don't know anything about.

But

A few times I've talked about my (limited) experiences in the WHL, and although Virtanen is a few years younger than me, you still hear the stories. The guy is a certifiable ######bag and I would want him nowhere near any team I root for.

#### that guy

We don’t know if he would win. While nothing has been proven in court, evidence would be presented at the grievance hearing, and that evidence would determine the outcome.

Guess Spartak was one of the "multiple teams" interested in him. LOL

Good destination for him.

If he falls back into old behaviors, Russian women will castrate him.

Do you think he's going to change as a person and prove it during one off season? If he is trying to change his behavior he'll need to prove it too and if he is also serious about playing pro-hockey in the NHL again he'll have to continue to work on his skills on the ice as well as build trust and good relationships off the ice. He has to do it somewhere. Just because he went to Russia doesn't mean he isn't trying. We don't know the full story of what he's been doing lately.

By today's standards Oliwa would have been out of the league for sexual assault. I know this as a friend of a mid-2000s Cowboys bouncer

If the allegations against him are true, and there isn't any indication that they aren't, he deserves to be out of the league and I don't think that there is a team that would be willing to run the risk of alienating a huge portion of their fan base, let alone running the risk of ruining a locker room.

Well that isnt fair. If we're going by todays standards a large portion of society in the history of societies has done something wrong.
