Loubardias confirmed "Monahan is fighting an injury that likely requires something further in the offseason."

Well, that pretty much rules out any trade involving him then.

I can't believe that I'm missing the 1st period to go pick up my kids at school. Little ingrates.

Have a work meeting that starts at the same time, then going to pick up the kid from Daycare... then should probably make dinner or something I guess? No idea how to catch this one lol. Probably means they will win.

If Monahan really is playing injured he should either stop and heal properly take the long break or be taken off the top line and swapped for lindholm or ryan. If he is that injured then he isn't helping anybody being on what is supposed to be our top offensive line

Gotta be his wrist again, and they are thinking a major surgery.

Lindy on the 3rd line. Sigh.

If Mony really is playing through an injury, it only makes sense to move him to the 3rd line and limit his minutes. Doesn't it?

At last. This move makes sense. Though with Monahan maybe hurt.

At the end of warm-up the flames should personally each hand the other goalie a puck.

What did Lindholm do to get in Sutter's doghouse so quickly?

I would have switched Monahan and Lindholm on those lines, but let’s see what Dube can do with Johnny and Sean.

Well, his play on the winning goal Monday left a lot to be desired.

I'll take it.
Tkachuk works best with Backlund. Period.
Maybe Lindholm can make Bennett better. Hopefully.

I'm surprised they don't do Lindy back with Mony purely for faceoff purposes if Mony 's wrist is injured, and Benny back with Looch given I think Bennett has been not too shabby in faceoffs

That being said I like the top 2 lines...not so sure about the 3rd but we'll see...

This is probably being captain obvious, and has been said before, but I really hope this season goes one of two ways.
1) Team figures things out over the next five games, picks up momentum and go into the playoffs hot. Not expecting a stanley cup, given the likes of the Knights and the avalanche, lightning but maybe win a round or two (we'd match up well with toronto). Sutter really sees what works and what doesn't and we, the fans, get some excitement and hope for the future. End result being a few tweaks/changes in the offseason and we are a much better team next year and Sutter really puts his stamp on the team.
2) Continue to be a complete disaster, big changes in the offseason with no regrets or second thoughts about what could have been.

I just don't want a mediocre ending- just missing the playoffs after a late run or squeaks into the playoffs by some fortune and get destroyed first round. Then it's up in the air how much change is needed vs. writing the COVID season off as an anomaly.
Black and white would be nice.

Yup, Tkachuk has looked pretty good on that line - granted it's just one period. But that begs another question: one would expect a 9M guy to drive a line instead of relying on a 32-year old center in order to be effective....
