It should not surprise anyone that these right wing mouthpieces are doing this mostly because it's so damn profitable, but I think over time, they begin to believe the crazy stuff because of the quote above. Nothing reinforces terrible ideas the way money can and does.
It’s also the environment they target. Most tall radio has been listened to alone, in a vehicle. There is no discussion of the validity of the point of view.
I watched this movie a couple years ago. It discusses a lot of these points. The blowback now is that the left is adhering to some of the same dogmatic principles and tactics only they’re not as organized and willing to destroy their own in pursuit of their ideology.
Nuance and complexity are lost in the debate. It’s winner take all while everyone loses. Dividing to conquer is what enables Huckster Confidence men like Trump.
At least they’re honouring Rush’s ability to only raise himself to half-mast.
