He blew the zone a couple times early in the game. Likely once after it was mentioned not to. Consequences.

Still learning....its ok.

It's really nice to be a low GA team.

Even when we lose, it's no longer by an embarrassing amount.

Felt like there was few blowouts a month during the goalie carousel days.

Feels good. My blood pressure is grateful.

Sans that lazy play not going for the guy or puck on Markstrom's lame only goal.

Markstrom is just what a team with an inconsistent core needs. Keep them in the game for whenever it clicks and they can pot a couple of goals. Hopefully he buys them enough time to find a way to play lights out for every period.

Lucky for them they might get a couple nights of Rittich.

If it was Markstrom the whole way through, they'd probably be on the verge of forfeit mentally.

Horrible first 40 minutes but a very strong third to close it out.

Markstrom is an actual beast.

Gonna have to play way better from the get-go for the next 3 games but great to get the first win in the mini series

Why are they wearing "playoffs" shirts?

Yikes.

Flames outshot the Canucks 12-10 in the third, and really seemed to control the play even with the lead. I can’t tell if it’s because Vancouver just gave up but either way I’ll take it.

Not a great game but don't care cashed in when they needed to. J. Markstrom is super solid.

No way I start Rittich in this series. There are no back to back games and Markstrom is not only playing outstanding but he's also in the Canucks heads. It would not surprise me if he went 10-0 against the Canucks this year.

The Canucks opened with a flame red, lucky New Year's dragon. How could they not lose?

I'm glad we won.

I hope they take the next game a bit more seriously and play hard from start to finish. It would be nice to see this team have a really one sided score in our favour.
