Ted also makes a sobering point about people being more inclined to judge others rather than show curiosity.
I swear to god no one is genuinely curious anymore. People love to talk about themselves and hear the sound of their own voice but being objectively inquisitive and asking questions just for the sake of learning more about other people is a lost skill/quality.

"Jamie Tart is a Muppet, and I hope he dies of the incurable condition of being a little bitch".
That one really got me, because my friend has been calling people muppets for decades. Nice to hear it used in the correct situation.

Absolutely. But that was hilarious.
Which was really needed. That was a heavy episode, even Misters Lasso and Tasso had a hard time cranking up the levity.
And get Higgins an office dammit!

Really liked episode 3.
I do think Jamie's progression toward being a better human being won't/shouldn't be this linear because I don't think realistically a guy like him would flip a switch from how he was in season 1, but that's just me and this is a TV series.
You just know the sponsor ordeal will backfire on them big time. It also wouldn't be the most interesting side plot so I hope that doesn't get dragged on too much.
Loving Ted and Beard's play book they have going on.

I'm not in tune with British TV or televised soccer but I can't imagine Roy's candor would fly. Is a bit of foul language allowed on their airwaves?

Moreso than ours, yes. Not quite sure if they get away with Roy Kent levels of it.

Do agree, but maybe it shows just how good that therapist is.
Anyways, this season has been great yet again. So happy with this show.

I love the contrast of Ted's near-childlike demeanor that is stuck in PG rating, compared to Roy at the other end of the spectrum that carpet F bombs groups of young kids.
but every once in a while (particularly this season) there's a jarring sex joke that puts an image in my head that I don't necessarily want. for example, Ted pulling out and making a mess of his evening companion.

I may be alone on this one but I can't stand the actor playing Roy. The affected growl is really off-putting and that guy cannot pull off the tough guy/teddy bear thing at all.
I'm guessing the character is modelled after Roy Keane, and I think they could have enlisted someone more believable. All the other casting is great but I cringe every time he speaks as the delivery seems so completely artificial.

I like it! Like most things in this series ... it's a caricature. He is so over-the-top. I find it hilarious.

Why am I watching a Christmas episode in August?
What is going on here?

I read that originally this season was written for 10 episodes, but then the AppleTV execs wants 12 episodes, so the writers said just F it, and stuff a filler Christmas episode in the middle that doesn't move the storyline....
