About the greasers first game. Absolutely no one at work said a thing, and they crowed after the win.

That's what I mentioned in the GDT this morning. 12 points today for the top two lines.

I rewinded it about 10 times. Loved the reactions

Also, thank you for the better slow-mo video. I have no idea how to do that which is why you instead got to watch my beautiful phone camera on the laptop lol

Excellent rebound from the Flames tonight.

Big cliche, but where game two can be summed up with the old saying "hard works beats talent when talent decides it doesn't want to put in the work", tonight the Flames matched the Jets' work ethic and cruised with their superior talent.

MUCH better job supporting the puck in their own zone and the neutral zone plus more composed with the puck. Making smart high probability plays that require energy expenditure by way of skating to the areas that generate success > making low probability hope plays by way of conserving energy for the offensive zone and not getting to those areas. Night and day difference.

I expected the Flames would carry 55-61% of the expected goals (score-adjusted 5v5) in the series while drawing even or slightly losing the special teams battle and tonight they finally managed that with 59%

Job well done by all.

I still like the Flames in 4.

Game Takes: Flames 6 Jets 2 (Lead Series 2-1)

- Flames powerplay scores 3 times on 4 chances
- Jets 0/2
- Calgary's second line amazing five on five

No passengers tonight, another win. No complaints about anyone tonight. Lots of players had strong games and were really noticeable. I was relieved to see the Flames come out with some fire in their bellies, as I was worried that they would come out a bit hesitant and poor execution as they did against Colorado. Flames are the better team and should be dictating the game, and they are.

No, it is not safe to come out Jets players:

Paul Maurice all game:

The entire Winnipeg Jets team dreaming of Tkachuk later tonight:

Just wear the retro roads every game. Let the other team adjust.

Every time their line was up, the ice was tilted. Dominant performance by all 3. Loved Mangiapane tonight. Love his game usually every night, but today even more so.

Before the season started, I said I’d buy his jersey if he hit 20. But, even though he technically didn’t, I may just have to any way. Kid is an absolute beauty.

They now have 5 power play goals over the 3 games and significantly 3 from the 1st unit and 2 from the 2nd unit! That's an even better sign.
