I'm glad the flames took their room. I hope the hawks do it too.

They should not get any extra comforts, perks or mental advantage from their hub city thing at all.

The Jets were not out-hit. Hits were 34-30 in Winnipeg's favour. But of course, that is to be expected since the team without the puck is the one that commonly leads in the "Hits" column.

I’m not that fussy but that one got to me. Especially since Scheifele is in fact wounded.

I personally think Maurice is one of the best coaches in the league.

I think he knows he is wrong but coaches are glorified motivators.
I get that, but for me personally it was the hyperbole....way over the top and really insulting to the player.

Full disclosure in that I do NOT think Maurice is one of the best coaches in the league.

Wow I'm surprised. But then corsi tells us we were "losing 5x5" and I didn't see that either. Actually this may be a rare stat moment. Usually rink to rink the hit counts vary. Tis tournament will see pretty fair equal hit counts.

It’s actually fittingly a glass ceiling.

glass ceil·ing

an unofficially acknowledged barrier to advancement in a profession, especially affecting McDavid and members of the Oilers.

Reading the past comments from the players shows they know to be ready for game 2. CGY has learned to not wait and see what the opponent will do but to focus on themselves and ignore all outside noise. I see them initiating and playing with energy right from the start and throughout.

Compete and play hard. Play structured and have total buy in is what I see CGY bringing with lots of skill and goals.

I'd love to get the first goal for once. I hate when this team has to play from behind.

With that let's not take a penalty in the first 6 minutes.

Ryan Leslie and Ken Wiebe are doing an Instagram live right now as the teams came onto the ice for warmup.

No Laine, Scheifele, or Appleton out there.

screw Paul Maurice. Hope his team has tkatchuk living rent free in their heads, and causes them to get off their game thanks to his continuous stupid response . I didn't like the doubling down on his comments yesterday.

NBC showed it, big hit by Monahan. Appleton fell as Monahan came in and his head got squashed against the dasher.

Tkachuk pulled a machete out of his equipment and hacked a couple of Appleton's limbs off.

SN just had a banner saying Flames/Jets coverage will be right after Canes/Rangers. If we miss any coverage to see two American teams I will lose my #### on SN.
