It is amazing what a turnaround Carolina made once Rod the Bod came in. Good young team with the right coach.

The new owner and GM made some decent moves too and were willing to make some big moves via both trades and free agency.

Out:
Lindholm
Hanifin
Skinner
Rask
Faulk
Wallmark

In:
Hamilton
Niederreiter
Vatanen
Skeji
Trochek
Edmundson
Gardiner
Dzingel

Plus promoted Svechnikov, Necas.

Don Waddell has actually done a really good job in adding to the pieces that were there (Aho, Teravainen, Slavin, Pesce)

Canes and rangers tied 1-1 at the end of the second. Canes with a chance at a sweep.

there was a pretty wild scrum in the Canes zone when SNW switched over to this game

Oh my God. Sebastian Aho just absolutely murdered Trouba and DeAngelo en route to going backhand shelf on Shesterkin. That is easily the best goal scored in the bubble so far.

Wow.

What a way to put a series to bed.

Carolina look good. 0 playoff wins for you Adam Fox. I hope the Canes players really rub it in.
Wonder if the Rags stick with Quinn, they are a bit of a dumpster fire in their own end, and he looks completely confused. They will have heaps of money for Laviolette I suspect.

Not only does Carolina look good, but they look good without Dougie. And he's going to be back. They're a threat... certainly wouldn't want to draw them in round 1.

Rangers having a tough time getting out of their zone with under 5 minutes left in the game.

And that’s it for the rangers. Canes sweep the Rangers 3-0. Dominating series win. Last time we see Lundqvist?

Hurricanes look to be a strong contender so far, and can make some noise in the playoffs. First team to qualify from the play-in round.

Yeah, Carolina looks like gold, while New York deserved the three straight. New York just looked really out of shape.

Carolina seems like a team of destiny this year, I think they're coming out of the East.

I have no inkling about the West, but a Canes-Knights final feels about right for 2020.

Yup, I like what Carolina has done, but it was the Rangers. This meant nothing.

Waddell has done a hell of a job turning that team into what looks like a perennial contender. They might be the deepest team in hockey.
