Few depth? Ward is playing Johnny with our 3rd liners rn

We also can’t take any credit for producing whatever Czarnik

Will be interesting to see what he gets done while in the A
If Czarnik had shown 1/10th of what Byron did, he'd be an NHL regular.

Byron as a Flame was a demon PKer who generated a dozen or more 100 foot breakaways and couldn't buy a goal. I vividly remember him stealing a puck from Joe Thornton in the high slot. You could play Byron in any situation 5v5 or short handed.

Czarnik is, I dunno what. Nice to have?

A goon's role also involves big hits, and general physical play. Part of a goon's role is to provide "energy" to the team (as well as protection). There definitely cross-over between goon, energy players, and pests, with some players falling into all 3 categories.

Rinaldo has also been in his share fare of fights.

Agree with you, GL. Nice to have that depth in the minors at least.
