They beat a division rival two points ahead of them on the road on a B2B with one of their best players missing

Give the Flames some credit...that is the best defensive team in the NHL

When you beat the 2 best teams in the Conference, back to back on the road.
you should be considered a contender, and certainly not a pretender (Oilers).

Love the double dip when we win and the Oilers lose. Felt like it was only a couple weeks ago the Flames were 10pts back with even games played and now they are down 2

That was a wonderfully boring game, it's been a while since the Flames could actually go into cruise control, but they earned that right with the absolutely relentless forecheck in the first two periods.

I can probably count Arizona's clean breakouts from tonight on one hand, all because the forecheck was putting so much pressure on them. Sticks and bodies in lanes kept the play going towards Raanta's net.

Next game is another big test and I expect the Flames to put on a show!

Flames have also had one of the hardest schedules in the league thus far...still gotta play hard/win but its setting up nicely

What a difference a couple of weeks can make

It’s how you finish, not how you start.

See St Louis Blues!

Canucks losing in regulation, albeit to the Leafs, would cap off a perfect night.

Not quite perfect cause VGK is up 4-0 but very solid evening for sure

I feel as if we should try to keep Rinaldo rolling in the line-up - his grit is great for our team

VGK winning is fine right now. Need them to move up to make sure the oilers don't make the playoffs. I don't even mind vancouver wins at this point. Anything to eventually force the oilers into 9th or worse is good.

That’s because It was only about 2 weeks ago.

On Sunday November 24th the Oilers were 2nd in the NHL with a 16-7-3 record and 35 points.

The Flames were 11-12-3 with 25 points.

The next night Aliu tweeted about Peters during the Flames OT loss to the Penguins, and the Flames were kind of the embarrassment of the NHL on that day.

Now the Flames have a 6 game win streak, the organized has been praised for how we handled the whole Peters situation, and we have made up 8 points on the Oilers.

Coyotes don’t even howl like that.

“There is quite a difference between wolf and coyote howling Coyotes yip during their howls and have a higher-pitched howl. A wolf howl is more mournful sounding and deeper than a coyote's howl,”

Correct. They’re blaspheming the animal kingdom.

Coyotes are yappy little scavenging pests whereas wolves are proud, top-of-the-foodchain predators.

Embarrassing for the organization.

Man, this is insane. New coach new life. This team is rolling!

On the backs of old goons no less!

I want to see Bennett in this lineup. And Phillips.
