I’m kind of liking Lucic. Rarely wastes a pass and just keeps it simple. He’s been decent again

Lucic looked great in that period. He back checks way harder than most of our forwards.

He has really surprised me with his skating. He has a strong work ethic, also.

Also great to see how the opposing players seem to just throw the puck away when they see him coming in for a hit.

Flames did just what they needed to and played really strong defense.

In that period, the Panthers had fewer than 10 shot.....attempts. That's impressive.

Jankowski had an excellent period. A pleasant surprise.

One of the more entertaining periods of hockey the flames have played in a while

Now let’s not let one in instantly

Faceoff wins that period?

Flames 14, Panthers 2.

Agreed. Effort and intelligent play almost always leads to exciting hockey.

Decent period by the flames outside of the top line (again).

Jankowski getting chances which is good to see.
Tkachuk looking good also.

Refs continue to look stupid. Both penalties were absolute garbage calls. No way either the Bennett or the barkov penalties get called in the spring.

The nhl having 2 completely different rule books is getting ridiculous.

The Panthers’ uniform makes them look like a KHL team.

Yep Lucic will bust his ass on the backcheck when needed. 10 seconds left and he saw it was a potential 3 on 2 against and he caught the Panther pretty easily.

Shows why some were laughing at the suggestion he's slower than James Neal.

Guy in front of me at the nachos line was wearing a Higgins jersey. I internally booed

A Panthers or Flames jersey?

Although it's Higgins, there's really no right answer to this question
