How'd it go?

Good I think. I got some good feedback from a bunch of guest and most importantly the bride and groom. One guy even told me that he’d been to a ton of weddings and I was the best MC he’s ever heard.

Thanks again for the help CP.

I just picked up some plush dice beforehand and put them on the head table and you could come up and roll at any time. Odds B&G kissed, evens they picked who you kissed. Pretty simple and easy to manage and we had some fun with it. For tables I pushed for no games but they wanted to do just random draws of table numbers from a hat, which ended up being stupid because we rigged half of the draw to get in the order of tables who had families and younger kids.

If I ever MC again I’m pushing for no table games.

If any of you ever MC a wedding, please tell the couple not to play the shoe game. It is so cliched and it's the same 20 questions being asked time and again.

Yeah I put a ban on that stupid game from the beginning. So overdone and completely cliched.

Groom here...

J Pold absolutely killed it! You should all hire him for your future weddings, and pay him butt loads of money to do it! Great intro to the best man speech!

Family has all sorts of different levels.

I'd say on average from friends, it was pretty much anywhere from $100-$200 per couple.

This is only true depending on the MC, I've found. I've been to a couple of weddings where it wasn't much of a hit...but I've been to some where the MC really worked it, and asked personalized questions that got laughs, along with the answers.

The MC at my wedding, for example, asked "Who is more likely to last the longest in the zombie apocalypse?" and "Who is most likely to accidentally summon an Elder God?" Things like that.

The shoe game is completely dependent on the MC (or whoever's asking the questions) knowing the B&G, and tailoring the questions as such.

It is all about set up and timing. Nearing the end of the night after all speeches were done I took to the mic and started to give my heartfelt thanks and congrats to the couple. Then I turned to the crowd and stated that ______ and _______ have given me the honor of letting you know that they are expecting...

(Stunned silence and a few gasps from crowd as I "flipped my page notes"

You to have a good time tonight, so please do not drink and drive!

The look on the brides face was priceless. Joke went over great and was a good send off for the party.

Truly is awesome to see the brides face!
