At that number I am actually relieved. Any offer sheet for Tkachuk should come in at a lower AAV.

So to match they have to give Aho 21m pretty much immediately? seeing lots of comments on other sites that the Canes might not even be in a position to do that.
But with the compensation only being a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, I don't see how they have a choice. They have to find a way

Matching is a no-brainer, but I would wait the maximum amount of time just out of spite to prevent them making other big signings in the mean time.
