So when I see that replay on the McDavid play. McDavid grabs gios stick, if not for that grab Gio gets the puck first and it’s a legit play. Is that correct?

PCL injuries however mostly occur when the shin in pushed straight back on impact.
That's right you're not a doctor. I talked to my wife who deals with knee injuries and she says you have no idea what you're taking about. Most ACL injuries are a result of impact.

All I gotta say is while im writing this wasted from Vancouver,

I love all ya'll, this was a special season.

I already told my boss if we make it to at least third round, either I work from Calgary or I quit.. wasn't joking. I moved to Canada in 1997, watched my first games cheering for our boy Val Bure. I was too young in 04, but my dream has always been seeing the boys win it before im 30 (i'm 28). I'll see ya'll ####ers on red mile April 19th. GO FLAMES GO

PCL limits posterior tibial translation, which is what happens when your tibia hits the net.

The ACL is often affected with hyperextension. It didn't look like the issue.

Fracture isn't ruled out with an xray. It really looked like a tibial fracture.

I’m not but I play one on TV.

I guess the McDavid trade is on hold for a bit.

For a brief reminder of the quality of McDavid’s judgment, I refer you to the thread with the drawstring suit pants made out of sweat pants material.

He should have gotten two for grabbing Gio’s stick.

I wasn't saying ACL injuries don't happen as a result of an impact, reading comprehension. I was saying from what I saw on the video and being it was a post impact, I was guessing possibly a PCL injury. Especially being his leg wasn't planted upon impact. Unlike a knee on knee collision, where many players have ACL injuries due to the leg being planted when hit and impact.

Still a trip regardless if the puck is touched first. They recently made that rule change.

Game wise you could see the flames giving up chance trying to get Gaudreau to the century mark. So glad that the regular season is over. Can not wait till Thursday.

Pretty awesome to see the Canadiens miss the playoffs with 96 points! haha!

Probably, a pointless remark at this point, but I was very disappointed by this game. It was a meaningless game for BOTH teams, but Oilers came to play, while Flames just showed up because they had to. I thought this game was supposed to be the playoffs dress rehearsal and it so wasn't. For once, red jerseys have outnumbered those gaudy orange in the house and "let's go Oilers" chant was out-chanted by "oilers suck" at all times. Puck possession was horrible, offense was totally uncoordinated, power play was really lousy... It seemed that playing Johnny on every line just so he could score that 100th point was the only game objective. The last game of a great regular season against your archrival opponent. They ought to have won it for the fans! Yet, they totally sucked.

/end rant

Crazy that both Carolina and Calgary improved so much. Especially considering we would say Peters, Lindholm, Ryan and Hanifin were the main reasons here.

It did seem that Dougie was playing well by the end of the year for them.

The McDavid injury sucked the life out of the game. I thought it was actually a good pace until that happened. But even the Oilers barely reacted to the injury, which wasn't surprising since no one wanted to get hurt in the last game.

Not really concerned about the lack of effort shown. Felt like a pre-season game.

Last 3 games have all felt like preseason games
