Ha! I guess we should have just dressed 11F and 6D...?

As mentioned, sounds like Bennett was too last minute to call anybody up in time.

Exactly.

And why is 11F moronic? Peters is known for shortening his bench. What does the position of the guy sitting on the bench matter?

didn't list Valimaki as 'injured' for that exact reason...teams adjust to missing players, but in less than 24hrs on the road? Still in the adjustment phase
Agreed on the adjustment period. However, Valamaki is not a key player/injury and is no where near the same level of importance to the Flames as Morrisey and Buff are. Those are two of the top dmen for the Jets.

Nonetheless the flames played as good as I expected. Need to get that PP going.

as a raw rookie, i agree that Valimaki isn't at the level of Buff or Morrissey... that said, out of training camp he was considered better than Andersson

if he didn't get injured, i'd confidently say his trajectory would have been at minimum the same as Andersson's, possibly even better

despite the admirable job that Kylington/Fantenberg have done on the third pairing, Valimaki and Andersson would be a pairing that could be considered as good as a 2nd pairing...

that said, great effort by the team on short rest...just couldn't beat the posts tonight

No kidding. Just dump the koolaid jar on your head if you think you’re better than the the Lightning.

I also dont think the Jets are that good. Hellubuck is going to #### the bed in the playoffs. I bet they go out first round to St. Louis.

I’m happy Smith looked decent, flames outworked the Jets everywhere while being on that B2B. Can’t ask for more than that

He would say it once in a while. Usually after Trouba had a hit.

Schedule did no favours.

Jets are so loosy goosy. They're going to get murdered in the playoffs.

Brodie had one bad turnover against the Devils that led to a goal, pulling a puck off the boards (which isnt easy on his off wing). Other than that he played fine. Skated his ass off against the Devils

Some people appear to have an agenda against Brodie. I don’t get it.

The guy is tied for 15th in the whole league in plus minus.

Gio trusts him and will be in the conversation for winning the Norris, not insignificantly due to what playing with Brodie allows him to do.

He won some good 1 on 1 battles today, played quite well

Meh, Flames seemed off for large chunks of the game. But that was mostly due to the Jets knowing how to lock it down for the most part. Great gritty game by them. I think the team missed Bennett in this one.

They play in a lot of 5-4 games for a team that can 'lock it down'. That said, they did so fairly well today. Flames shoot themselves with the amount of muffins they throw on net some games. They had the right idea earlier when they were hitting posts.
