About what?

They are done like dinner.

5 pts back but 4 teams to pass.

I mean its mathematically possible but almost assuredly not happening.

Yeah, I would say at this point it's moreso Sharks that have control of the division at this point since they've been peaking at the right time, and are hot with games get tighter and more challenging.

Flames just finally scored some goals against not being able to do so for weeks. Have to see if they can keep it up, or will the scoring slump still continue until Flames inspire confidence in winning the division.

Just saying the schedule doesn't make it easy, Flames have one win in five games and the Sharks have won 5 in a row
The game against the Flames could be tough for the Sharks, 3rd in 4 nights and second of a back to back with the game before being against Vegas.

This dumb conference is making me more uncomfortable than I should be. If the Oilers hang on they’ll only be 5 back. With Minnesota’s GM basically saying they’re rebuilding, the avalanche missing landeskog, Dallas doesn’t know it’s left from right, and the Coyotes being super injured and low on talent to begin with, this could be the year a team gets in with 87 or 88 points...

All this would be moot of course if the rangers can come back and do the hockey world a solid.

And in their seven games prior to their five most recent wins the Sharks had a 3-3-1 record. I don’t put much stock in current streaks. The Sharks and Flames have battled back and forth all season, but for one crucial difference: the Flames have ALWAYS been the team setting the pace.

Yup. There was a pretty long span there where the Sharks just couldn't seem to catch us no matter how much they were winning. I imagine their fans were likely watching the OOT and cursing the Flames every night, just like we're currently doing with them. I think the division is still ours to lose. As long as the Flames take care of their own business down the stretch here, we'll be fine.

What did you think of him when he worked at TSN?

Look I hope they do it but as we speak the Flames are not setting the pace

Flames win and SJ loss tomorrow and they are back in the drivers seat

I am really not one to be overly critical of any of these guys (except Rod Black as he is so unprofessional its mind boggling), as its a really hard thing to do. I know first hand.

From day 1 I wasn't a big fan though. He used to go 10 seconds at a time without saying a thing while play was going on. It was cringeworthy.

That being said he is still considered the lead guy and isnt going anywhere for a long time, as he seems to be pleasing to the majority of people and more importantly to his bosses. Then again I learned not to let the play by play guy or color announcer affect my viewing of a hockey game or any sporting event really. Radio guys are a different story though.
