I was at the game tonight and that was a bit of a weird one, it just felt like one of those games.

Call it an overreaction but I am seriously concerned with our top line. It’s been 15 games since the all-star break and other than chipping in with the odd PPG, they have been hot garbage. They are getting completely dominated 5 on 5 and the effort seems to have really tailed off.

I thought Czarnik had a pretty solid game overall and he was robbed a couple of times. Andersen outplayed Rittich by a mile. I don’t even know who you start on Wednesday because both guys looked brutal in their most recent starts.

I don’t think it can be understated how important it is to win the division. Hopefully they can get out of this funk quickly and it all starts with the goaltending.

I'd sit Frolik for forwards for 3 games, give Lazar a bit of a run and see what they have in him. Maybe Brodie for a game, if any D-man.

I remember Jets fans giving us the skinny on Frolik when he first came here that "you won't notice him but you'll love him." For some reason now all I see is a guy that tried to uphold his diminishing value as a player via his loudmouth agent and I can't help but feel annoyed by him whenever he is brought up or shown on TV.

I do notice him now, but for the wrong reasons and I think the comments from his agent have really put a dark cloud over his career here. I definitely feel like that sense of entitlement to be given minutes has had a negative impact in some fashion on the charisma of the 3M line and maybe the team as a whole, and Frolik should be shown the door in the offseason.

I missed most of a game. Who's the scapegoat?

Brutal game and horrible atmosphere at the Dome.

I hope we see Lazar next game.

Sit Frolik, give him another chance to rebound well once again this season while giving Lazar the opportunity again finally.

I'm personally not too bothered, probably cause I only caught a few minutes of the game. But these are still the dog days. We're in first. We haven't had a stinker in almost a month, were probably due. April matters a lot more than today. And I'm 80% certain the Bruins take out the Leafs in round one anyway so all the boasting and chirping will catch up with them soon enough.

I just hope we take games like today to learn, rebound and get better from here. The top 4 returning to form and Rittich or Smith playing average (.910-.920) is what the season will hinge on.

Seems like the team lost its mojo when Neal went down. Even through that 7 game win streak they haven't looked as sharp or dominate as they did earlier on.

I'm sure you can see the forest through the trees, although that might be hard with the cold, blowing snow currently steamrolling Toronto and clouding your vision.

Anybody else catch the heated conversation on the post game show on 960? I just turned it on and I caught the tail end of it. Sounds like a disagreement on goalie's and how everybody compares them differently?

Bennett/frolik - jankowski - czarnik/frolik
Mangiapane - Ryan - lazar

Yes. And I'm sure you can see this has nothing to do with any of you.

3 Leafs impressed me tonight, Anderson, Marner and Ennis.

The rest of the team was pretty blah. Tavares and Mathews pretty much invisible.

I really don't think the Flames played that poorly. Subpar Goaltending at one end and elite goaltending at the other. They generated enough to score 5/6 tonight.

The top lines issue continues to be either not shooting the puck or missing the net when they actually do. Things are tightening up down the stretch, they have to start realizing that the fancy pass leading to an empty net tap isn't going to be there, shoot the god damn thing and hit the net (Monahan is guilty as anybody for missing top shelf every time he shoots).

PS. I really really dislike Michael Frolik

Thought the Flames looked listless and had no pushback after 20. They mailed it in. They were frustrated - which is a HUGE downfall for them; when that happens they just fall apart. Tough games they can handle....frustrating ones, not so much. They start flailing, try to play on their own, make bad decisions and...well, generally what we saw tonight.

If they think this is frustrating, they better smarten up before the playoffs.

Not at ALL happy with Johnny and Monny's play: Johnny has too many breakdowns, bad passes and giveaways, and he's getting wilder as he gets frustrated. Monny has been invisible. At least Chucky was visible (didn't do anything but he was visible tonight). TJ...too many bad decisions there, too.

Healthy scratch each of them for a game. Won't hurt, and might help. Beats me what's going on..but they've totally lost their team game, gang tackle, play together and support each other mojo they had earlier.

Would also help if either goalie could stop a beach ball occasionally. Not Ritter's fault tonight, but he wasn't good either. Two crappy goals and bad times.

This was an ugly one. Flames played well expect for a few areas: finishing scoring chances, playing away from the puck, and goaltending. Some may disagree but Rittich let in four bad ones: two from sharp angles along the boards, one where he was falling over, and the one where he failed to corral the initial save on Marner's breakaway. Other goalies make those stops.

Top line especially, JUST. CAN'T. BURY. THE. PUCK. right now. The last handful of games the opposition has figured out they can just wait for someone to try to dance into the slot through two defenders if they are collapsed down low, and strip the puck, pick off a pass, or block a shot. Missing open nets hasn't helped either.

Don't know what it takes to get things back on track.
