Some D by the Flames. Wake up and stop the turnovers up the middle. Chucky and Backs did that twice in one shift.

Hamonic makes a big defensive play then another save from Smith later on.

Johnny and Sean need to get their s**t together if they want a successful playoff run, so frustrating

Wasn't Hamonic the one who got walked though? Smith has started great.

Not sure that was off. And of course SN cuts off the replay before we get a chance to see

The 4th like shoots it in and wins the races. Top line passes east west until the lose the puck.
Need a few good plays to get them going and confident.

Every play by Barzal that hasn't worked has got the classic "...and no call" comment added

Good pressure at the end there. Keep that up and we'll break through.

Islanders are pretty disciplined. When the Flames have possession of the puck in the offensive zone there's no shooting lanes and only perimeter passing lanes.

We have so much zone times when the first line is not on the ice. The first line cannot cycle the puck and cannot enter the zone with speed. I will put Backlund there for a try

Defensively a great period, and Smith did what he was asked to.

But....

Johnny and that line looking very frustrated with one another....bad sign.

And collectively how many shots at net went wide or high?

Good grief.
