When is the next all-star game in Calgary so we can dress our whole team?

No way Calgary gets any bigger events like this before they get a new arena.

Good, Peters can staple McDavid to the bench.

Is there anywhere that shows the results of this voting? I would like to see where Gio is placing in the voting.

I voted for all the players I don't want to have a break, star players on the competition and teams I don't like.

If we are doing it to benefit the Flames... They play Washington, Carolina, and San Jose the week following the all-star break.
Ovechkin isn't going so he is suspended the game following the break. A Capital team with out Ovechkin is beatable, but voting Backstrom in as a last man could benefit Calgary too.
San Jose already has 3 player's going so that is a great thing. In the Pacific Division I say vote for either Ryan Getzlaf or John Marchessault.
Anaheim is less of a threat standings wise sitting in WC2. But Vegas has seemingly come from no where to be tied for 1st in the Pacific with Calgary. Vegas plays in a back to back vs Carolina and Florida the weekend after and then an away game vs Tampa Bay. We need them to lose games.
Vote Marchessault as the last man in to screw with Vegas!!! Not Giordano, let him rest.

I suspect they'll keep the results pretty secure, in case they want to monkey with them and just lie about who won... as they have before.

This seems to be the consensus opinion but I have to disagree. Does the All-Star game actually take a toll on the players?
Sure, some time off could be helpful if a player has a nagging injury...but most prefer skipping it because they already have vacation plans. The game is treated like a scrimmage and players probably exert less energy than a practice.
You could argue the "negative effect" of having to play the scrimmage is easily countered by other positives like gaining confidence, not being rusty after the break, and being able to build new relationships that may slightly improve our future odds of signing star free agents.
I certainly hope Gio gets named and his perhaps best half-season of hockey gets recognized. Similarly, I'm not worried with Gaudreau having to play the extra game either. It's probably better than a week-long trip to Mexico with no hockey!

What happened to Laine? Since his 5-goal game on November 24, he has only scored 5 goals in 18 games.

He's an interesting player. He's actually not a very good player but he does one thing really well and it just happens to be the most important thing in the game which is score goals. I know Jets fans are down on him but at 20 years old I wouldn't worry too much as he will get better at the other stuff over time with coaching, practice, and experience. What he does well is what you can't coach.

Yeah, it appears Tkachuk in the long run will end up being a better overall player than laine. Tkachuk brings so many interesting intangibles beyond the great stats too. What a stroke of good luck for us in that draft. Holy crap.

I don't know about that. Tkachuk's biggest efficiency is something he's likely never going to greatly improve which is skating. Laine has scored more goals than everyone except Ovechkin since he's been in the league. He can easily improve on the rest of his game over his career.

Now this is the right idea! Someone actually gets it.
I would rather there were more than 3 Sharks in this game. No break for any of them.

Sorta off topic but has the NHL announced what the jersey design looks like? I am quite sure I will get one ASG jersey, hopefully Gio is in.
