The 1995 Devils would have been proud of that performance

To finish the game off properly, Bob Cole started announcing the commercial break and was talking over Louie DeBrusk while DeBrusk was summarizing the game.

How about we just let him retire with grace

How about he retires when he should have, 15 years ago? He’s tarnishing himself at this point.

Oh, Bob Cole Haters?

Would you actually have preferred listening to Quinn and Remenda?

Count yourselves lucky

He wasn’t that close to finishing it and he put the other team on the powerplay. He gets frustrated and starts the play reckless which leads to penalties which add to his frustration. We’ve seen this Bennett cycle before, he should just focus on playing a simple game instead of trying to do too much

What would you like Bennett to do when going full speed? Prout hit Hopkins in the shoulder and Hopkins as light as a feather has his head snap back.

My guess is Koskinen banging his post when they entered the zone? No clue otherwise

Flames looked tired. Rittich looked great though and damn near stopped that McDavid goal.

Tired legs and too much penalty killing. Add that to the Hitch Hockey System and yeah. You get that game.

Flames will be better against Philly on Wednesday no doubt.

Neal has to figure it out soon.

Bennett has become a liability as whatever it is he brings to that line, it neuters Tkachuk.

Lots for Peters to work on with the boys.

No Gio or Backlund...so not a big deal even if losing to that team hurts more than most.

Next.
Tkachuk played just 15 minutes tonight.

Inexplicably Neal played 16.

i don't get it.

Only thing more annoying than the loss is the whining about the play by play.

Nah Tkachuk has had a bit of a bad stretch the past week and a half or so, a few games before Backlund got hurt.

Do not worry, other terrible players like Pastranak and Getzlaf are hot on his heels.

Sam Bennett has almost no giveaways.

Maybe the Flames should have stuck with their speed mantra instead of brining Peluso and Prout. Tkachuk alone could have brought pride to the team.

Oh well. On to the next one.

Not sure what the lovefest with him is
He had the only 2 really high quality chances of the team, 1 that created all on his own, out of nothing.

I don't think we can harp on any individual player on a night like tonight. Team looked tired, and sloppy all around.

The goal that got called back was very borderline. I think the call on the ice should have stood, as it was blatant interference.

Anyways that was the difference. Tight checking game on both sides.

No, the hit to Backland's head neutralized the Tkatchuck line.
