Ugh, of course this ends up being a 3 point game. Flames better win tomorrow.

Sharks played like donkey balls! The only reason the oil one is because martin Jones decided to channel his inner mike smith

What's up with the Sharks? They kind of went all in on this season with the Kane and Karlsson and last night they did not look interested at all. If they don't win the division it has to be looked at as a pretty big failure for that team.

Crappy result. But if McDavid's motivated, as well as Draisaitl and they get 24 minutes in the game, the Oilers have a shot to win. I think they wanted to win baldy because of the firing, plus Hitchcock gave them the minutes. That's not going to happen over the course of the season. They can't play that many minutes every night, plus their motivation is going to get sapped both by their own dispositions and by Hitchcock's personality.

Jones has been Mike Smith bad so far and has a .891 save percentage on the season.

Karlsson hasn't been great so far and the team still seems to be finding chemistry - especially on defense.

My guess is they figure it out. Jones is still somehow 9-5-2 even though he has a .891 save percentage, so if he can figure it out expect them to go on a run.

think they're one of those teams that are keeping an eye on the playoffs and don't really care about the regular season until the stretch drive.

going to pace themselves and maybe give 75% most games.
