Is this like the Oxford comma where it's technically acceptable both to use it and not use it but really there's only one right answer there and it's not the second one? Because I don't trust anyone who says "disorientate"

I mean the Flames played like garbage the first 90 seconds and you have a pure sniper in Kane get a shot, but by all means lets bandwagon hate Smith for that.

It's at their own goalie, but you can't deny they give it their all offensively when Smith is in. Because they have too
Yup. They had a great couple of shifts right after the goal. You can tell they want to even this up quickly, but it must suck having to constantly worry about every shot that comes near your net.

Follow through on a shot, it's not a penalty unfortunately.

goalies are occasionally allowed to bail out their team.

As I said after the Anaheim game. Treliving should be offering Smith two choices.
1) The IR with some phantom injury to save face 2) The waiver wire bound for Stockton.

Either way he’s absolutely done. They need to shoot him into the sun.

This isn’t a one time event. The criticism is more than warranted.

Also no traffic on that shot. Not a weak goal but stoppable.

Team played a heavy game last night. This is where a well rested goalie could make a few saves to help them get going. Or not. Let's go Flames!

This. On the replay you can see how deep he was. Makes him seem small and the shooter sees a lot off holes

Why is sportsnet continually defending Smith?

Sorry I guess the better word is justifying (his poor play).

It wasn’t that great of a chance. And he hasn’t made a save since Nashville so forgive people for no longer giving him the benefit of the doubt. To suggest it is bandwagon hate at this point is laughable. He’s the worst starting goaltender in the NHl

You guys realise that even if Rittich becomes the full time starter, Smith is still going to start games right?

Flames were definitely bad on that shift, for sure. But Smith had a full clear view of that shot. Dude needs to make a big save once in a while.

He was completely out of position and deep in his net as usual.

Also, every now and then goalies are supposed to stop grade A chances.

Ideally not against the team we'd like to pull away from in the standings though
