This one hurts because I remember buying decent tickets for my brother and I, driving up to Calgary, meeting friends and family for dinner and drinks, walking into the Dome with a nice buzz, feeling excited about what the night would hold for us.
Then the game started. The worst part was all of the Oiler fans. That game was over about halfway through the first. I paid good money to have a gentleman in nacho cheese stained sweatpants and a tattered Ryan Smyth jersey yell at me between obesity induced gasps for air. They were singing on the concourse of the Saddledome. I don't drink much usually but I blacked out somewhere between the Dome and the C-Train. The pain was too much.
