Agree, I much prefer to root for a team that doesn't have a reward for years of futility and mismanagement!

Not sure he needed to throw him down like that but I don't see how that is a penalty, it wasn't vicious or any sort of attempt to injure. Unfortunate.

Yup, they got some big saves and survived a huge push from the Capitals. Matthews gets a gift of a goal to seal it right after.

4 straight goals for Dallas gives them the lead, nice collapse by the Ducks.

He was already knocked off the puck and on his way down before he was violently thrown head first into the ice.
Definition of a bad hit and intent to injure. Need this out of the game. Removing the homerism we just lost one of the young exciting players to start the season.

I’ll def be watching the leafs a lot this year. Very fun team.
Also it’s such a pleasure and nostalgic listening to Bob Cole. Classic and the best.

I think one of the things to note with that hit is that he just made him look like a fish out of water 10 seconds before he body slammed him to he ice. That is a bad and unnecessary hit.

I agree with others, the hit was fine, the slam after was pretty stupid. Hope he's ok.

Dallas outshot the Ducks 30-4 in the 2nd, 44-14 after 2

Welcome to the league kid. You're going to have to put some meat on that frame if you hope to survive.
|
He got embarrassed by him right before and took his frustration out on him by slamming him to the ice.

Habs and pens game is great. Bob Cole and what sounds to be Gary Galley? Either way I love it. Great tandem even if Cole is older. Sad to see him go.
