McJesus already sporting a playoff "beard", as is appropriate for the frequent pre-season champs.

That 1st line should be fun to watch today.

Been growing since the start of pre season. Gotta win that pre season cup.

It’s not like we’re signing players on the last day prior to the start of the season who haven’t skated with the team all summer or something...
My point isn't just who might make the team or not, it's that it would be nice for the players to actually know who they're playing with on their line, to build up some chemistry.

I've seen this many times over the years and I've seen the Flames get off to bad starts many times. Poor starts can make the difference between making the playoffs or not.

I just hope Peters knows what he's doing.

Both Peluso and Prout in the lineup. Can we expect some fights today?

The Flames have been notorious for bad starts, that is a certainty.

However, after 11 games, I am not sure that one more pre-season game is going to have a lot of impact on that.

Plus, what I would argue is the #1 chemistry spot in the lineup - Gaudreau and Lindholm - is on.

As is Bennett-Jankowski-Czarnik

I am pretty confident in guessing that Neal doesn't give a flying frick about this game.

Judging from the looks of that lineup it appears to me like the players do know by and large who is playing where. The top line is set with Lindholm. The 3M line remains intact. Bennett and Jankowski are a fixture. There don't seem to me to be any questions on the bluefin in the top four. There are a few moving parts, but that is to be expected and will likely continue over the course of the season.

Understood but we've also seen Flames preseason where the lines are more or less set from the start and likely the end of the last season for the most part, and still have the tepid starts.

I think the China trip will be great upon reflection in a few months, given a new coach and up to 5 new top 3 line guys plus a new coach.

Get out of Edmonton unscathed, figure out the 6rh defenseman and the forward log jam, and bring on the Canucks this week x2.

Is it Treliving or Peters that do the cuts or is it a combination of both?

Also I'm really having a tough time seeing where Neal fits. Rest is probably more helpful for him at this point but would've been nice to see him play with some linemates.

I think it ends with Tree but Peters makes the call.

My west ham hammers beat Man U today. If the Flames can beat the oil, and I can win the 1st overall pick in my fantasy league tonight it will be a perfect day.

Even watching the Oilers in game pre show stuff reminds me of how stale the Saddledome experience is. And this is Edmonton we're talking about.
