The PP has looked really good at times during this preseason, and also really bad. Looks to me like they're still working out the kinks and learning the new systems. Honestly, if they have even an average NHL caliber PP this year, I'll be happy. The Dave Cameron special from last season is arguably the worst we've ever seen in franchise history. There's nowhere to go but up.

Dube helps you win more than any other of the alternatives (Lazar, Hathaway, Peluso, etc).
For that reason alone, he should get at least some time in regular season games.
Lindholm looked good tonight. Hamonic was one of the best players on the ice.
Karlsson looked good, but he was limited to shorter shifts.
Monahan has quietly looked fantastic this whole preseason.
I'm not sure about Ryan, but he does seem like a decently smart player.
I also have to say that I have feel more comfortable with Peters as the coach. There has yet to be a moment in which I am puzzled by coaching decisions. That year, this was a common occurrence. The Flames had a comeback victory yesterday. Today, they managed to hold to the lead.
I just hope the Flames can clean up their play and improved on the discipline.
If you notice who also caused the turn over on the Neal goal....
Said it before. If you don't know a lot about Lindholm, get excited. This is what he does. Except now, he has more options than just Aho to help finish.
God I can't exclaim how excited I am he is a Flame. On top of Monahan. And we got Hanifin too!

Loving the speed on this team now, amazing how a few additions makes such a huge difference in entertainment value.
I liked how Valimaki played tonight, jumping up into the play, no glaring defensive errors. I think it will be hard to send him down. He is already better than Kulak, no?
I think Smith will be ready come game 1, he was more focused this game.
Dube can skate and forecheck really well, please keep him around for a 9 game stint please Tre?
Mentioned before but Dube starts year one of his ELC whether he goes to Stockton or not, 9 games is irrelevant. But he deserves to be in the lineup ahead of Lazar and Hathaway easily.

Some people here loved that trade the second it was announced

Was at the game tonight. Will try and mention things that haven't been mentioned already.
- Lindholm was retrieving pucks all night. He's like the catcher to Johnny's pitcher (and Monny's batter)
- Neal looked slow out there and had no chemistry with his linemates.
- I had no idea how fricking *huge* Neal is. Big big body.
- That second PP unit has no idea how to enter the zone. Ryan short chipping it to Czar while Neal looks lost is not going to cut it
- Bennett and Jankowski looked like they finally had a winger that could *add* something and I think it helped both
- Bennett will never be a top line player, probably not even second line, but his play without the puck has come leaps and bounds. He knew where he was supposed to be on the ice and made smart little plays you normally don't notice. He also made better use of his line mates than last year, and didn't even fall over once.
- Dube is effective because he knows what's going to happen on the ice and makes the right decision. He's going to be a fan favorite for a long time.
- Dube may not be used to what it's like to play against physical NHL defensemen. He looked a bit rattled after a couple hits. There's nothing wrong with him getting up to speed against men in the AHL.
- Valimaki is going to be a can't miss top 4 defensemen in this league for a long time. But he was playing sheltered minutes, and still tries to do too much. Granted he got much better at simplifying as the game went along. Spending time being the top pairing D in AHL would be good for his development
