Oh man that was terrible. Red Sparrow on the other hand was better than I thought it would be. However it was kind of jarring watching all these American and British actors trying to portray Russians with their terrible accents. I get that Lawrence is the headliner so I can live with her poor Russian accent but it would have been more convincing had they chose to use actors that could speak Russian for the Russian roles.

As far as Zombie movies go...."Patient Zero."
I know it has a cast that seem decent, but I'm telling you, skip it. Just....just dont.
I made it 23 minutes in before turning it off and I'd wager I was really only paying attention for maybe half of that.
Just....hard pass.

Just saw Christopher Robin. I really enjoyed it. Thought the characters were all really well done. Story was a bit predictable but that’s to be expected.

Watched Only the Brave. Josh Brolin, Miles Teller. Firefighters. Thought it was really good. Also seemed somewhat appropriate given all the fires right now.

Went to see Christopher Robin this afternoon with my family.. I absolutely loved it. So heartfelt. The scene where Christopher gets mad at Pooh.. man, as a parent.. hit my feels.

The Equalizer with Denzel Washington was a steaming pile of crap. I can't believe a second one was made.

Grossed $200 million against a $70 million budget and has generally positive reviews from fans and critics alike.
More likely it just isn't your type of movie than it actually being a "steaming pile of crap".

Happytime Murders ...
Not sure what to say about this one. Definitely not one for the kids. Not sure it's funny enough for the adults. This one is a miss.
Flip flopped between McCarthy as the comic lead and then the straight set up. A couple of funny moments but .... A miss.

2001: A Space Odyssey is being shown on IMAX at Chinook for one week only. I believe this is a must for everyone.

Saw it in IMAX at Landmark Country Hills yesterday! Was a real spectacle.

Got to see Mission Impossible and it was a good movie. Lots of good tense action with some really corny writing that made it feel more like a big budget TV show. Lots of the "twists" or plot mechanics were telegraphed FAR in advance.
I wonder if "fit as many surprise-vehicle-block-the-car-chase events as you can" was part of the director's contract?
Still very entertaining and worth seeing in the theater.

It's getting to the point where any movie starring McCarthy is destined for failure.

They should have waited until grass was legalized and sold it at the concession stands.

That's because she's the Will Farrell of woman's comedy leads. She plays the same unfunny role in every movie and does the same thing in every movie. Hopefully she's destined to eventually be that person that has a 5 minute cameo in movies and stops being the lead.
