Looking at exploring some of Alberta's parks in September for an extended weekend(maybe 4 or 5 days?) and will need somewhere with hotels. What are some of Alberta's lesser known cool places we could check out? I was looking at Cyprus Hills, and we could bring our mountain bikes. Also looking south to Writing on Stone Park. Davis Canyon looks neat for hiking. I don't think I've ever been to Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump either, not in a long time anyway.
Anyone have any ideas on where to check out? Possible itinerary? Willing to hop from one place to another as well.
