Pastrnak with 2G 1A and Krejci with 1G 3A, after just flying over from Boston yesterday.

This is insane, getting out of a plane after a long flight, dealing with jetlag but they went straight to the rink, had one practice and then singlehandly dominated the Red Machine. All in one day.
And about Rittich.. When we signed him, he was considered just a placeholder due the expansion draft rules and something like number 4-5 in our goaltending ranks. Two years later he is considered our backup and representing his country at the World Championship. He really made a leap.

I don't believe this is true. I think you are confusing him for Tom McCollum.

Seriously. I have said it before, but guys that go over and play in his tournament, and especially those that have gone through a playoff grind are really showing something. I'd take players like that on my team all day long.

South Korea up 1-0 on USA (PP goal)
Gaudreau in the box and Darling doing Darling things. Ugly.
Edit - Johnny sets up Anders Lee, all is forgiven

The Americans tie it up. Gaudreau with an assist.

USA gets a 5-on-3. No surprise they score.
Kane from Gaudreau. Those guys aren't too bad.

And another... McAvoy from Kane and Gaudreau. Yeah, I guess they're okay.

Is McAvoy centering those guys? Talk about luck.

Johnny stopped on a breakaway, was slashed and hurt his wrist. No call, and will keep an eye out for his return.
Edit - Sorry Gio, I thought it was all on Johnny but his flow was disrupted by that slash I missed

It was a 5-on-3. I don't think they're a regular 5-on-5 line. They've been on the PP so much, I don't even know what their even-strength lines look like.
Johnny just missed a couple of beautiful scoring chances. Looks like he took a good whack on his hand before the last one.

Johnny looks to be in pain on the bench. Hopefully it's not too serious.
