Hmmm. Not sure I agree with that. I suppose it wasn't kicking which is the definition but it seems like a crappy way to settle such a hard fought game.

Good call, no kicking motion towards the net. He moves his foot forward but to ensure the puck would hit it and redirect 45 degrees back towards the net.

That seemed like a pretty clear kick to me. Leg moves forward. Wrong call IMO. I think the flames had a similar play called off this year.

Agreed, crappy way to settle a game if that is the game winner. Looks like he actually was trying to direct the puck to his stick (fairly clear he did adjust his skate in some manner to touch the puck) but ended up in the net. If you are following the rule to the letter though there is no distinct kicking motion there so I guess that is a good goal.
I am cheering for nashville but kind of hope colorado scores so the game winner is legit.
