If the Leafs lose the series quickly I wonder if the team has finally had enough of this guy.

I’m glad that they are making the distinction between this type of hit, which was reckless and intent to injure, vs a hit like Doughty’s which while reckless and deserving of a suspension, didn’t strike me as a egregious intent to injure.

I honestly think that Paros is the best thing to happen to DOPS in a long time.

**** the NHL. **** it. Finish every ****ing check on Marchand every single time the puck is even visibly near him.

The refs let the game get out of hand and Kadri is the one that pays for it.
Gotta love HF.

Yep because the NHL told Kadri to hit a player in an extremely vulnerable position .

Interested to see how Matthews steps up. If you want to be an elite player, well, this is the time for a big game.

I like Matthews though i cannot stand the Leafs, and you are correct, at one point he needs to take control of his team and be the leader by example.

But, at age 20 and trying to be " that guy" against Bergeron/Marchand I wont hold it against him as any indicator of future success if he is once again not really part of the game narrative.

Matthews is probably the most overrated player in the league. So happy their team is about to get swept. Their fans deserve some humbling

How exactly is he overrated? First year as a rookie he netted 40 goals, likely would have repeated it this year if he didn't miss 20 games to injury. His stat line has improved from last year, over a ppg this year, improved on face offs. Kid is only 20 year old. He's exactly as he was advertised.

The Leafs look like kids playing adults.

Babcock has a tough few days ahead of him getting his team prepared for game 3. Not liking their chances back home.

Knowing how the reaction would be to the Leafs doing well makes the spankings sweeter.

Leafs dominated fancy stats though! Even score adjusted they were the better team.

It's the Glen Gulutzan curse!

The world is a cruel and heartless place.

What kind of society do we live in where the actual score comes ahead of the advanced statistics? If they say that one team was the better hockey team then who would stand in their way?

The Leafs should be awarded this game and the Flames should be awarded the Cup and Gulutzan can have the Jack Adams and the Hart and maybe even the Vezina.

Because Gulutzan saves.

All else aside though, damn would it be nice to be a Bruins fan right now. They are just having their way with the Leafs.

And they look like they havent even taken it out of second gear yet.

Yup. This series isn't an indictment of Matthews so far. It's a demonstration that Boston's top line is the best in the league and a perfect feature for David Pastrnak as a player. I don't think people recognize him as a top 5 RW in the game, but if Boston makes a long run here that'll change pretty quick. He's signed until 2022, too.

Leafs defensively are awful. Like I said before l expect them to be looking at making some changes to their blue line this offseason.

Yeah I was going to mention that Matthres maybe appears over rated next to a guy like Pastrnak who is so under rated.

The Bruins did a nice job getting him locked up for a very wokable cap number.

The sweet thing about Pastrnak's contract is that Draisaitl's was signed almost at the same time.
