Meh, The Sedins have their last home game. Nothing can take away from the kind of magic that night provided Vancouver fans and players. They'll just shrug this off as a stupid Edmonton Oilers thing.

Eff the Oilers, the really belong in the basement of the NHL forever.

I thought it was really nice to see the Sedins hug it out with both Russell and Cammalleri in that handshake line. Feel good moment for sure. Too bad Russell had to save that scoring chance by Henrik though.

McDavid needs better advisors if he doesn’t have the common sense yet. You refuse the 1st star 10 times out of 10. At minimum you stay off the ice. At most you tell the HNIC idiots to change it so there are only 2 stars tonight.

No one should be taking a lap but those guys tonight. Especially not in a throw away season.

It's really not that serious

Ok bit its a night between 2 teams that are both not making the playoffs. Its an opportunity to give the last send off to two seasoned players. If it is not serious at all why even make it about McDavid? Just came off completely tacky.

Is there any harm in making him 3rd star?

A small consolation was the scoreboard tonight. The Canucks and Oilers result put the Canucks in 26th (7.5%) ahead of the 27th placed Wings and the Oilers moved ahead of the Hawks and Rangers to 23rd (5%) place which decreased their lottery odds. The Flames win also moved us to 20th (2.5%) place ahead of the Canes which in normal circumstances wouldn’t be such a good thing, but without our 1st rounder, this is a good thing.

It must sting for St Louis to finish the season with 41 ROW and still miss the playoffs, while 5 teams in the playoffs had fewer ROW.

It looks completely necessary for them to miss out. Can't believe they crapped their pants as bad as they did.

Well then call CBC and HNIC and voice your complaint. McDavid needs better advisors? Get real. That's a seriously bad take; you're really grasping at straws.
