Screw it, I tend to avoid posting in GDTs altogether, let alone optimistically, to avoid bad juju..

But for the sake of some hail mary superstition by trying something completely different with absolutely nothing to lose: new 7 game win streak starts tonight.

Welp, Eric Francis just put out an article where he says the Flames playoff chase is now a futile endeavor.

So...guess I'll see you all on April 11th.

The only Eric Francis article I ever want to hear about is if he ever writes he is quitting.

I'm going with 3-1 Flames. The new top line each gets a goal.

Glen Gulutzan.

Because he forced to do something he didnt want to do and it worked out well which means that he might not be the smartest guy in the room.

Stewart - Janko - Ferland could be amazing or it could be a disaster.

It's the Yotes we're talking about here so I'm going to go with Amazing.

Go Flames Go!!! I'm not sure at this stage if I am cheering for a miracle playoff run or am just hoping to decrease the Islanders lottery odds.

Yotes are 5-4-1 in their last 10. Another good ol 5-2 loss incoming.

This reminds me of 2009/2010 so much with high expectations not being met and no first round pick. Another year the Flames acquired a top Dman in the summer and questionably didn’t address their apparent lack of scoring. At least Brad didn’t go nuts like Darryl and make a bunch of bad trades.

I am going to watch and hope for the win. Just like the 2010-2012 Flames I will hope they overcome the odds and cheer until they are eliminated

I wouldn't want him to quit. My dream is that he moves to Edmonton and covers the Oilers full time.

Canucks organization probably paying the Coyotes to win because them winning makes no sense so I am sure they are going to come out firing

At this point I would rather see Rittich in net. I'm pretty done with Smith. Too bad he still has a year left on his contract. Other than his impressive start to the year he's not much better than what's his name last year but he is better than Johnson.

Agreed. Smith has looked subpar in the last while.

Smith has been the MVP of the team this year. We're lucky he'll be back for another year.
