Fleury hasn't had to make one great save yet.

They'd need to be generating high quality shots to actually score. Instead, their system of shoot from everywhere plays right into the opposition's game plan of giving up useless shots by design, while easily keeping the Flames at bay.

The Flames strategy is idiotic, and the results speak for themselves. Useless effort all over the ice.

It’s actually amazing that we’re only four points out with virtually no PP. teams must feel like they can get away with anything against us bc they have zero fear of getting burned.

I'm not a big Gulutzan fan but I think the team may benefit more from trading a defenseman for a pure scorer like Hoffman in the offseason as opposed to firing the coaches. I think replacing most of the bottom six with some more home grown talent would be beneficial as well.

These long wristers aren't going to fool MAF.

This may be the most inaccurate Flames team I've ever watched.

It's either square at the goalie's chest, or 2 feet wide.

Yep. Out play. Out score. Out work. And get no results for it. Great way to play. Won’t be long until Vegas scores on mediocre chance.

no

to clarify. Can't watch the team beyond this season without a coach change.

I agree with making those changes, but still changing the coach

Was that a Go Flames Go chant I heard a few seconds ago? That was great.

if someone told me the flames would have 20 shots in the first period, but no goals, i wouldn't even be shocked. Lots of low probability shots, a few decent changes...and nothing to show for it. Man, the team must wonder what they did to piss off the gods

They need some scoring help for sure. But I'm betting with a new coach and a better system that actually utilizes the team's strengths properly (including a better PP system), this team will be the playoffs next year for sure.

They were almost 100 shot attempts two games ago. But where they are attempting from is often laughable.

Brouwer makes nice passes from the corner, they just never get finished.

The first period has to be a tremendous disappointment to the naysayers.

Favorite part is when some try to dissect and criticize systems. LOL.

Strong play and high energy period by the Flames.

Outplay the other team, but nothing to show for it.

I thought he made one good save off the shoulder. Most everything else he was in position and the puck hit him.

Shots 19-6 for Flames after 1, but hate to say it, maybe 2 of those 19 were dangerous high scoring chances.
