There's no doubt, things can turn around quickly and they can find themselves looking at home ice. Or the wheels (and playoffs) can go tumbling away very quickly too.
We're on the edge of a knife as others put it post game on Tuesday, and it would be easy to be openly optimistic if they didn't toss away points in 5 straight, while losing to the lowly Oilers and divisional competition along the way. They gained points in 4 of those 5 so that's something. But let's see them regroup and overcome those shaky finishes and make a statement, cause we're two breaks removed from seeing them do that. It's even more important at home, given that they're .500 there. Have to be much, much, much better on their ice! It shouldn't make a difference where they play, but it's like their logo and fans take a bit of edge away from their game, and we haven't seen them put their foots down on their opposition near enough. So let's see it, so that we have an example of them doing it, then we can at least have reason for cautious optimism. The weaksauce games at home have been an all season thing, and squeaking out OT wins with the extra ice won't be something they can do if they make the post season.
Let's see some killer instinct, at home, in regulation, from these Flames.
Start with tonight against a measuring stick team, prove it to themselves, then go from there.
