It's the same system as Babcock, you're not allowed to question it.

I think the Flames need to give Brouwer the "stay at home and away from the team" treatment that Montreal gave Georges Laraque.

Unfortunately, I could see it getting much, much worse before it gets any better.

My first vivid memories of cheering for the Flames are from 1986 when I was 9'years old. I wish that I understood then how important it was to savour those few glorious years. The following 27 years, notwithstanding one glorious playoff run, have been a relentless serious of precisely targeted kicks to the balls. This is one of the worst franchises in the NHL for the past 25 years. It has not been very fun to cheer for them. The good will fumes from 2004 (nearly 15 years ago) are evaporating into the ether. Sigh.

Just send GG, Lasar, Hamilton F down. Call Huska, Mangi, Poirier. Scrach Stajan, Brower. At least we will have boys can skate and hit.

Ok...

In a tight game with an opponent who's got your number you only get so many opportunities. Bennett's being paid millions of dollars to put pucks into open nets. It's how you win in this league where bounces mean so much, you absolutely have to capitalize. It's the difference between being a good vs average vs bad player. Inexcusable that play.

Look at that sick 3rd period possession when you're down by a ####ing goal

The most telling indictment of this team is that 2nd year pro Matthew Tkachuk is its backbone. Far too often he's the only one with any sort of pushback.

Simply inconsistent. Our defense has been decent as of late and now the offense just blows.

These losses wouldn't hurt so much if we had our 1st and 2nd round picks.

Hell, we were tied starting the 3rd.

Something needs to change because the current combination of the coaching staff, their system, and our roster isn't getting it done. This should be a good hockey team, but we're painfully average.

Terrible hockey under a inflexible hockey coach. It's not all about systems. The system is the same as other teams but it isn't being executed properly because the team itself isn't built to effectively utilize the Penguins system. The team doesn't have the speed to do it. The Flames need to be used in the same manner that the LA Kings were because the Flames and kings were/are built in the same manner. That's why I'd like Sutter back because I think he has a little experience with that setup of team.

What did that one Philly fan say (in Gaskal’s OTT) in their GT once? “The Martin Erat of teams.” I always chuckled a bit at that one.

Instead the pain of a loss is doubled, maybe tripled knowing that as we do worse the Islanders move up in the draft.

And he’s a guy that absolutely hates to lose. Quite frankly our highest paid players could take a page out of his book.
