Spoiler!

Good win and good team effort. Versteeg's best game of the season. Johnny was dynamic. Brodie was dancing on skates. Hamonic played quite physical. And Kulak's best game as a Flame.

Mike Smith is a Jesus God, be we already knew that!

Glad I don't have to say 'they deserved a better fate' yet again. They really have been quite a good 5 on 5 team the last while, but just don't seem to be getting many breaks. Pucks aren't going in despite the chances they are generating.

A giant WTF with some of the officiating lately.

And I apologize in advance for dwelling on a bit of the negative, but why does GG hate the possibility of one timers on the power play? And there is no doubt the player setup on the PP is a coaching issue. I'd actually love to hear people's thoughts on the potential advantages of having every player on their handed side, as opposed to having anybody on their offside able to take one timers. Frustrating having to see every player take the pass then have to turn their hips before they can take the shot.

Overall they have deserved better these last several games (ever since the Carolina game), hopefully the pucks start going in a little easier.

Yes the PP looked good tonight, much better...chances and possession on both of them

In a win where the Flames dominated the majority of the game most of your posts are negative. Its just a suggestion you might wanna lighten up, this is supposed to be fun after all.
Im lightened up it was a good win. This team is so much better than what our record is showing. That all.

We have a chance on Thursday to carry the play from this game and show some consistency against a Penguins team who are struggling.

There's always room for improvement that's my point that's all. Like you said earlier we should have won that game 5-0 but we made it harder than it had to be. Partly down to bad luck and partly down to us still struggling to bury teams

Like I said great result. This isn't worth arguing over. It's constructive criticism. Not negativity

Anyone have the possession stats? Felt like the flames had the puck most of the game....

Pat Steinberg‏Verified account @Fan960Steinberg

#Flames better virtually all night. 5v5 possession finished at 60.7%, high danger chances finished at 16-9.

He’s been awesome. That said, theres something like 45 players league wide on pace for 80+ points so far. Bizarre. Stamkos is on an insane pace. Be interesting to see how it looks in a couple months when the law of averages shakes out. Right now I’d be surprised if Johnny doesnt eclipse the 1ppg mark on the season.

flames were at 61.02% (!!) even strength score adjusted possession. 59.76% scoring chances for, 66.42% high dancer scoring chances for, 61.25% xGF. it was a thumping. top 9 forwards were all above 55%, stajan/brouwer/versteeg hovered around 30% possession. fix that fourth line please

Seriously, shut the hell up.

Enjoy the win that came from an excellent game in which the Flames were pretty unlucky to have scored only two.

Solid win. Everyone looked great.

And its not like they beat an average team. This has been the best team in the regular season for how long now?

Other than in the shootout win, Gaudreau has the assist on every game winner except the one he scored himself.

Liked the third line. Liked the first line and tkachuk is exceeding my expectations.

But my God at some point we have to learn how to finish offensively
